Drawings and Works on Paper
Drawings offer an immediacy, a connection from the eye to the hand and a way to convey how the artist thinks and sees. Some of my pencil and oil pastel drawings are made on top of abstract monoprints, as a way to work against a ground and to create an energy and rhythm that sings with the marks themselves.
